 With CtrlPrint, you have the benefit of choosing your own workflow; there is no one set way of doing things. However, if you need guidance to get started, we've provided suggestions for agencies based on whether the client is new to CtrlPrint and whether they use our XBRL tagger tool. We hope this will help you gain an understanding of what needs to be done, when, and by whom.
 

New client with XBRL

  • Read the CtrlPrint XBRL Best Practices
  • Prepare the documents, make sure to cover the XBRL preparations as well. Read more on the Agency Guide and Agency Guide – XBRL.
  • Set up a project in CtrlPrint. Read more on the Admin Guide.
    • Create project
    • Create chapters
    • Set permissions
    • Activate additional features
  • Prepare users if necessary. Read more on the Admin Guide.
    • Create new users
    • Delete old users
  • Performed by client: Admin to set the correct XBRL settings in CtrlPrint. Read more on the XBRL Guide.
  • Upload documents from InDesign. Read more on the Agency Guide.
  • Test the visual conversion of the document (use XHTML convertor). Read more in our XBRL Best Practices.
  • Start working with content in CtrlPrint. Please follow our workflow recommendations mentioned in the XBRL Best Practice for a smoother process.
  • Prepare for publication
  • Done

Recurring client with XBRL

  • Read the CtrlPrint XBRL Best Practices
  • Prepare the documents, make sure to cover the  XBRL preparations as well. Read more on the Agency Guide and Agency Guide –  XBRL.
  • Use the duplicate project feature in CtrlPrint to use last year’s settings ( XBRL project settings do not get duplicated). Make some tweaks if necessary. Read more on the Admin Guide.
  • Prepare users if necessary. Read more on the Admin Guide.
    • Create new users
    • Delete old users
  • Performed by client: Admin to set the correct  XBRL settings in CtrlPrint. Read more on the XBRL Guide.
  • Upload documents from InDesign. Read more on the Agency Guide.
  • Test the visual conversion of the document (use XHTML convertor). Read more in our XBRL Best Practices.
  • Start working with content in CtrlPrint, please follow our workflow recommendations mentioned in the XBRL Best Practice for a smoother process.
  • Client: Roll forward the tags in the financial statements according to this workflow.
  • Client: Apply the TextBlock tags according to our XBRL Best Practices.
  • Prepare for publication
  • For Swedish clients – Submit to Bolagsverket.
  • Done

New client with other XBRL provider

When tagging with another provider, make sure to take their recommendations into consideration when creating a source document. In CtrlPrint you can follow the regular workflow.

  • Prepare the documents. Read more on the Agency Guide.
  • Make sure all the necessary installations are in place. Read more on the Onboarding Guide.
  • Set up a project in CtrlPrint. Read more on the Admin Guide.
    • Create project
    • Create chapters
    • Set permissions
    • Activate additional features

  • Prepare users if necessary
    • Create new users
